BoardHawk on your Android phone
Two apps, the same as the two computer downloads: BoardHawk (everything – the refresher, ACCEPT, auto-book, Post a truck and your posts) and the BoardHawk Post Helper (Post a truck only). Each app is the Amazon Relay load board with BoardHawk built in – no other browser, nothing else to set up. Free 7-day trial.

Before you download
- BoardHawk and the Post Helper are independent software. They are not made by, endorsed by or connected with Amazon.
- Loads booked with ACCEPT or auto-book, and posts made with Post a truck, are real on your Relay account. You're responsible for covering them.
- You're responsible for using Amazon Relay within Amazon's own terms and programme policies.
- Use one of the two apps at a time with a key, as on a computer – BoardHawk already has Post a truck in it.
- The trial asks for your name and e-mail, kept only to manage your key. See privacy.
After the trial, ask for a key at [email protected].
Watch it first (2 minutes)
30-second version (vertical) · chapters and transcript · pictures: a made-up demo board; Android's own steps drawn plainly – the words differ between phones.
Install it in five steps
Do this on the phone itself. The words on the screen differ a little between phone makers.
1. Download the app
Tick the box above and press Download. Chrome may say the file can be harmful – it says that about every app that isn't from Google Play. Press Download anyway. The file is about 90 MB, so use Wi-Fi if you can.
2. Allow the install, once
Open the file: tap the download notification, or open Files (or My Files) → Downloads and tap it. Android says it can't install apps from this source: press Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then go back.
3. Install
Press Install. Google Play Protect may say it doesn't know the app (it isn't from Google Play yet): press More details → Install anyway. When it's done, press Open.
4. Sign in to Relay
The app opens the Relay load board (UK). Sign in as you always do, with your own Amazon details – BoardHawk never asks for your Amazon password. Another country? Menu ⋮ → Relay site.
5. Start your trial, or type your key
The BoardHawk bar is at the bottom of the board and the Licence box opens by itself. Type your name and e-mail and press Start free trial, or type your key. Then set your filters and press START – everything works as on a computer (see how every option works).
Good to know on a phone
- The screen stays on while the app is open (menu ⋮ → Keep screen on, on from the start).
- BoardHawk works only while the app is on the screen. Open another app, press the home button or switch the screen off, and BoardHawk stops: the refresher stops, a waiting auto-book is cancelled, Post a truck's checks pause, and the phone pauses Relay's page too. Come back and the bar says Stopped – the app was not on the screen: press START again.
- The top bar: Board · Post a truck · Trips · ↻ reload · ⋮ menu (Relay site, Keep screen on, Help and keys, About).
- Sounds play through the phone's speaker at its media volume. Test them in BoardHawk's Settings.
- Links to other websites open in your phone's normal browser; Relay stays in the app.
- Export log (Settings → Version) saves the log to Downloads and lets you send it by WhatsApp or e-mail.
Updating
Download the new version from this page and install it over the old one – no need to remove anything. Your Relay sign-in, key, settings and what BoardHawk learned stay. Menu ⋮ → About shows the app's version and BoardHawk's. Every file has its version in its name, so you can always tell the new one from an old download (delete old .apk files from Downloads after installing).
Removing an app
Phone Settings → Apps → BoardHawk → Uninstall. That removes its Relay sign-in, settings and what it learned on this phone. Need the phone's place on your key freed for another device? Write to [email protected].
If something isn't right
| You see | What to do |
|---|---|
| "App not installed" or "isn't compatible" | Check there's at least 300 MB free. On an old 32-bit phone, use the 32-bit file under the Download button. |
| "There was a problem parsing the package" | The download didn't finish. Delete the file and download it again. |
| Play Protect stops the install | Press More details → Install anyway. If your phone has no such button, write to us. |
| The Licence box keeps saying it's checking | Check the phone is online, then menu ⋮ → About: the app version must be 1.0.2 or newer. An older download? Install the one from this page. |
| No BoardHawk bar on the board | Press ↻ in the top bar. BoardHawk runs on the load board itself (Board). |
| "Stopped – the app was not on the screen" | That's on purpose: BoardHawk works only while you can see it. Press START. |
