The basics

What is BoardHawk?

BoardHawk is a browser extension for carriers on the Amazon Relay UK load board. It keeps the board refreshed for you, picks out new loads that fit your filters, rings when it finds one, and lets you book it with one press – or books it for you on auto-book. It can also post trucks, tidy up your posts and put a driver on a booked trip.

Is BoardHawk made by Amazon?

No. BoardHawk is independent software. It isn't made by, endorsed by or connected with Amazon. It works on the Relay load board in your own signed-in browser.

Which browsers and computers does it work on?

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on a computer. We test on Windows. It works while the Relay load board is open in your browser.

Does it work outside the UK?

BoardHawk is made for the UK load board at relay.amazon.co.uk and only runs there.

Does it replace Relay's own page?

No. It works on Relay's own load board: it marks Relay's cards, moves new ones to the top and adds a small row of buttons to each card. There's no second board to learn.

Trial and keys

How does the free trial work?

Download BoardHawk, open the Relay load board, and fill in your name and e-mail in the BoardHawk Licence box. You get 7 days, on up to three browsers, with one Relay company account. No card is needed. There's one trial per e-mail, per browser and per Relay account.

What happens when the trial ends?

The refresher switches off. Your settings stay in your browser, so nothing needs setting up again. E-mail contact@showmyplane.com for a key, or to ask for a few more days.

Can I use one key on several computers?

A key works on a set number of browsers (devices) and with one Relay company account. Each browser you use counts as a device. If you change computer, e-mail us and we'll free up the old one.

Does it need the internet to check the key?

The key is checked when you enter it and then every 48 hours. If our server can't be reached, BoardHawk carries on for up to seven days from the last good check.

Booking

Why does Instant Book need one real booking first?

BoardHawk never makes up a booking request. When you book a load you want – with ACCEPT or Relay's own Book button – BoardHawk keeps a copy of the exact request Relay's page sent, with your account's details, in your browser. From then on it uses that same request for the next loads, filling in only each load's own details. Until then, ACCEPT presses Relay's own Book and confirm buttons for you.

Can BoardHawk book a load I don't want?

Only if you switch auto-book on. Even then it only books loads that pass your filters, one load at a time, after the pause you set, with a Cancel button while it counts down. It never books while Relay is slowing it down, and never books the same load twice. Every booking is a real booking on your account, so set your filters with care.

How fast is ACCEPT?

Before Instant Book is on, ACCEPT goes through Relay's own Book and confirm buttons, so it's as quick as Relay's page. Once Instant Book is on, ACCEPT sends the booking in one step. Auto-book waits for the pause you choose, from instant to three seconds.

What if Relay's answer to a booking isn't clear?

BoardHawk shows "Unknown – check Relay" and never sends that load again from your browser. Check Relay Trips to see whether it was booked.

Can it put a driver on the trip?

Yes. Switch on "After a booking: ask who takes it" in Posts. After each booking you pick the driver, press Assign in Relay, and BoardHawk puts them on the trip in Relay Trips. It can also cancel that driver's other posts for the same time.

Safety and data

Could using BoardHawk affect my Relay account?

We can't speak for Amazon, and you're responsible for using Relay within Amazon's own terms. BoardHawk is built to behave like a careful person at the keyboard: it searches at a steady, human-like pace that you control, slows down when Relay asks, and stops completely at any sign-in page, captcha or bot warning. It never tries to get round them.

Does BoardHawk see my Amazon password?

No. You sign in to Relay yourself, as usual. BoardHawk works inside the page you're already signed in to and never asks for, reads or stores your password.

What do you keep about me?

Our licence server keeps your key, a scrambled code for each browser, a scrambled code for your Relay company account, the BoardHawk version and when it last checked in. For a free trial it also keeps the name, company and e-mail you typed and which terms you accepted. It never receives your loads, prices, drivers or bookings. Full details are on the privacy page.

Where are my settings stored?

In your browser, on your computer. They stay there when you update BoardHawk into the same folder.

Installing and updating

Why isn't BoardHawk in the Chrome Web Store?

BoardHawk isn't listed in the Chrome Web Store at the moment, so you download it from this site and add it with Developer mode and "Load unpacked". The install guide shows every step.

How do I update?

Download the new zip, extract it into the same folder as before, then press the reload arrow on BoardHawk in your browser's extensions page. Your settings and key stay.

Can I use several Relay tabs?

Yes. All Relay tabs in one browser share the same speed, so two tabs don't double the searches.
